Service Description

According to research by Heartmath we know that the heart is in constant communication with the brain, shaping how we think, feel, and respond. It often responds faster than the analytical mind, and when regulated, it supports emotional balance and healthier relationships. Our emotional state influences heart rhythm and nervous system balance. When the heart becomes calm and coherent, clarity and resilience increase. Positive states such as gratitude and compassion strengthen wellbeing, and conscious breathing can shift the heart from stress to coherence within minutes. Through heart-focused breathing practices with visualisation we explore how the breath supports nervous system regulation and access to the heart’s deeper intelligence. As Blaise Pascal wrote, “The heart has its reasons which reason knows not.” This retreat offers space to experience that wisdom directly. Research from the HeartMath Institute shows that slow, rhythmic, heart-focused breathing brings the heart and brain into coherence — supporting calm, clarity, emotional balance, and improved heart rate variability (HRV). This retreat offers space to experience that alignment for yourself. 👇🏼What to expect 📋Itinerary - Breath-led Yoga flow - Breathwork to support the heart and central nervous system - Bhakti to open the spiritual heart - Shared Lunch - Guided reflection and quiet inner listening workshops - Heart-led Meditation - Yoga Nidra for deep relaxation 🕒Time: Saturday 09:30am to 4:00pm (registration starts at 09:15 am) 🏟️Venue: Diana's Health and Fitness, D3, 109E Finedon Road, Wellingborough NN8 4AL 🍱Refreshments: Teas and coffees provided, vegetarian/vegan shared lunch brought by participants. 🎒To bring: Shared lunch as above Journal or notebook and pen Water bottle Yoga mat (we have some available if you don’t have one), Two home cushions/pillows Blanket Any other yoga equipment you personally use eg bricks and blocks (optional, not essential) 🧘🏽‍♂️Attire: loose clothing, tops and trousers suitable for exercise 💷 Investment: £30 To deepen your experience and practice, why not combine this with my Foundations in Meditation workshop, as a perfect complement to the retreat, being held over 2 evenings 15/22 April.
